The Role

As Bloomberg pursues developing standards for its client facing interfaces and protocols, there is a need for a team to focus on evaluating and contributing to protocol standards, including wire formats and data schemas for the demanding requirements of real-time market data. A successful candidate will lead this effort for Bloomberg for its data products. Tasks include reviewing requirements, participating and contributing to standards committees, coordination with vendors, and integration with clients.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience with transport protocol design and support
• 5+ years active development experience (C++ preferred)
• Financial market data experience
• Experience with transport middleware and protocols (e.g. UDP, TCP, PGM, AMQP)
• Tibco Software, 29West, Wombat, RTI
