Bloomberg is creating a new web-based information product that will report on, analyze and quantify the impact of government actions on business and industry. It will bring the same unparalleled level of fact-based, objective reporting and analysis to policymaking as it has provided to the financial community for the past 27 years.

The Role

The Data Analyst will work with our Editorial Team to identify and prioritize data sets to integrate with Bloomberg Government. The Data Analyst will collect, manage, and query data sets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing spreadsheets, databases, reports, and presentations, and performing analytical computations as necessary
  • Leveraging industry and government relationships to procure and coordinate relevant data as it relates to the U.S. Federal Government
  • Providing commentary and analysis on the data
  • Close partnership with Product Developers, the Data Collection Team, and News Reporters

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Political Science or related degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of professional work experience with Government or Healthcare data
  • Knowledge of the operation of the U.S. Federal Government
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and interpreting healthcare related data
  • Proficiency using Government websites such as congress.gov, data.gov, house.gov.
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced, detailed-oriented environment
  • Travel may be required
