The Role

Bloomberg Global Data department in Hong Kong is looking for enthusiastic individuals with entrepreneurial spirit to join the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team. This team is responsible for researching and analyzing ESG data as part of the Bloomberg Equities product.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, collection and management of company Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data. Primary responsibilities are to analyze, maintain and process ESG data for companies, focusing on Korea market. More importantly, the individual will develop new analytical functionality, interact with customers and industry specialists, and network within the world of ESG to promote the product. Potential candidates must possess good communication skills to interact with market players, Sales, News and other business units to gather feedback for product development.

Qualifications

  • Experience of Environmental, Social and Governance research is essential
  • Existing relationships with primary research providers is highly desirable
  • Advanced degree in related fields (including business, social sciences, environmental management, public policy) and experience in financial analysis preferred
  • MBA/CFA a plus
  • Strong interest in sustainability
  • Ability to interact with clients within the financial industry
  • Commitment and strong interest in enhancing and developing products
  • Effective research and analytical skills
  • Attention to details and capable of handling multiple projects
  • Creative and flexible
  • Ocassional business travel is required
  • Working Knowledge of Bloomberg Professional Service a plus
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Korean
