The Role

Bloomberg's Research and Development department offers exciting opportunities for highly-motivated individuals seeking a challenging technical role in the financial industry. An extensive 10 week training program will provide technical and financial skills needed to succeed in Bloomberg's fast-paced and dynamic organization. Successful applicants will be involved in the design and development of state-of-the-art financial information software products. The position can lead to a variety of career paths, including technologist and financial specialist.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science or related fields. Related degrees must include the following course work:

* Data Structures

* Algorithms
* Operating Systems
* Two computer programming courses

  • Strong technical skills
  • Advanced problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a desire to design and develop financial software applications
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Available to start work full time in February 2012-August 2012

  • Positions are located in both New York, New York and Princeton, New Jersey
