The Role

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a strong passion for finance and sales to join our training program. You will spend your first 1-3 years in our London office in the Analytics department before moving to sales and transferring to our regional office in Sydney.

Your career will begin in our Analytics department in London, where you will gain comprehensive training on our products and services, our clients, as well as insight into the global financial markets. By consulting our clients, assisting with their use of the Bloomberg Professional® Service, and demonstrating the advantage our products can give them, you will develop the knowledge and skills needed to progress in your career at Bloomberg. Starting as a generalist you will then specialize in one of four market areas: Fixed Income, Equities, FX /Commodities or Derivatives.

The role will then move to our Sydney office. With a consultative approach, you will identify our clients' needs and demonstrate how Bloomberg solutions will help them make the best investment/trading decisions, by making their day to day business smoother and more profitable. The successful individual will be responsible for building new business and developing existing business. The individual will work with and liaise with other teams and departments to help reach this goal. Our products enable customers to utilize real-time news, data, and powerful analytical tools. When working in sales the role will include a minimum 8-10 working days of travel per month depending upon the region assigned to.

Qualifications/requirements:

• Strong interest in the financial markets; experience/knowledge of the Australian financial markets is highly preferred
• Fluency in another language will be useful but not essential
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required
• The desire and flexibility to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Available to start employment in one of the 2014 classes starting as below:
