The Role

Bloomberg is seeking an energetic and highly-motivated Product Advocate to support Bloomberg Law in the University of Akron Law Library. The successful candidate will be fully trained to use Bloomberg Law and share expertise with fellow students and faculty. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing product navigation guidance and advice, and promoting product functionality to users
  • Assisting with planning and execution of on-campus Bloomberg Law marketing events
  • Assisting with Bloomberg Law individual and group training classes
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships by acting as a resource and liaison on behalf of Bloomberg Law for students, law reviews and journals, student organizations, faculty and administration throughout the Law School community

Remaining up-to-date on industry trends and changes in the marketplace and contributing to a culture that inspires innovation, efficiency and results will also be expected. This position offers a unique and significant opportunity to shape and build one of the most exciting new products in the legal information services industry!

Qualifications

  • Current Law Student at University of Akron Law, in good standing
  • Member of Law Review, Journal and/or Student Organization(s)
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills
  • Organized and flexible
  • Effective communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
  • Innovative thinker, comfortable sharing new ideas
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg Law, Bloomberg terminal and/or familiarity with competitor's products a plus
