The Role

Bloomberg News seeks a talented, fearless reporter in its Los Angeles office to cover Hollywood film studios and the ever-changing business of entertainment. The reporter will join the U.S. Entertainment team and will be responsible for breaking news on a highly competitive beat, identifying trends and writing features about the strategies and personalities that make Hollywood tick. The successful applicant has it all: a passion for breaking news; a strong backbone to stand up to publicists; clear, accurate writing and an eye for detail; and a competitive spirit while also working well with others. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of business reporting and writing experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the economy, financial markets, and business
  • Minimum of three years of experience in business journalism
  • Ability to write quickly and concisely under deadline pressure
