Role Summary

Ensures that desired deliverables are produced at the highest possible quality, at either a previously agreed-upon date or scope
Leads and facilitates the activities of an assigned Exchange Connectivity Development Team.
Works closely with project stakeholders to ensure that desired functionality is actually realized in the solution under construction
Espouse and apply common-sense Agile Project Management practices

Responsibilities

· Facilitate meetings and team-based development activities such as SPMs, scrums and retrospectives of the Exchange Connectivity Development team
· Manage backlog scheduling (sufficient new stories, resolve analysis blockers, spikes), monitor incoming priority items (mainly through bugzilla tickets)
· Check that documentation of Bugzilla tickets, Manuals, release notes, etc. are completed before software deliveries are made.
· Track resource availability (including leave plans)
· Facilitate inception sessions and create inception materials and master story list
· Create, maintain and publish project status together with the Product Owner
· Assist the Development Team Lead with recruitment activities as required
· Secure project resources (machines, tools, etc.)
· Assists and coordinates internal documentation as well as test access to (exchange) system where required.
· Supports in introducing more automatic processes in the Agile Development team, especially with the QA Managers
· Provide 360 degree feedback on the team to their respective managers
· Maintain close coordination with the Company Product Owner, Product Owner and management to assure the success of Sprints and company objectives
· Use Agile project management methods and team facilitation tools appropriately to ensure goals of the Agile DevelopmentTeam
· Proactively identify and present impediments and dependencies; develop solutions to address and resolve impediments and manage dependencies.
· Serve as an agent of change to positively promote the overall success of the Agile Development Team and the Company
· Where applicable: Conduct performance reviews of QA Managers, keep them challenged, and provide growth opportunities whenever possible.
· Where applicable: Set a culture of positivity, proactiveness, and a strong work ethic for all QA Managers by example.

Requirements

· Previous experience in dealing with Exchanges or Exchange Change releases would be an advantage but isn't required.
· Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Finance, or related
· Knowledge of current development standards, methodologies, and IT trends
· At least 3 years professional experience in project management
· At least 3 years of experience with Agile processes and frameworks, experience as a Scrum Master is a plus, ideally gained in a service business; certification as a Scrum Master (CSM) is helpful, but not mandatory
· Strong facilitation and goal-oriented team skills; solid understanding of group dynamics and ability to apply in dynamic environment
· Experience in high-frequency trading industry ideal, but not mandatory
· Even though this role is based in Frankfurt, fluency in German is not required. Fluency in English is required however
