The Role

Bloomberg News fall interns will gain hands-on experience reporting and writing for the print department of one the world's leading financial news services. Working with over 1,500 print journalists in 146 news bureaus around the world, interns will contribute to coverage of financial markets, companies and economies. Successful applicants will produce breaking news stories under deadline pressure. Responsibilities may also include monitoring other media and writing spot features. All applicants must submit three published samples of work, along with resume and cover letter, for the 12-week internship program, which begins in September 2010. The interns selected for this role will be based out of New York or another major US city.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the financial markets, companies and economies
• Prior experience working in a real-time news environment is desirable
• Ability to work within a team under deadline pressure
• Available for a full 12 weeks, beginning around September 13, 2010
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required
