The Role:

R&D Message and Collaboration is looking for Software Engineers who have experience with C++ or C, and high transaction rate, distributed server-side applications. Message, in addition to having features that are standard for email, is one of the largest real-time price dissemination and discovery platforms in the world. It is used by clients of Bloomberg to exchange information on a secure, compliant system. The developer joining the group would focus on the enhancement and maintenance of Message application infrastructure, which is distributed across multiple servers and data centers, processes over 230 million messages per day and must be available 100% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in C++, and/or C
  • Strength with SQL databases
  • Experience with distributed, high transaction-rate systems
  • Good understanding of multi-threaded solutions
  • 4+ years of professional software development
