The Trade Order Management System (TOMS) team in London is looking for a C/C++ professional to join the team at an exciting time of growth and new development.

Every day, thousands of traders across the globe rely on the renowned Bloomberg TOMS to run their business and support their trading activity. As part of the Trading Solutions businesses, TOMS delivers a global, multi-asset, solution for trade capture, inventory management, and middle office operations. TOMS provides powerful tools that allow traders to manage positions, make markets, and manage their risk and P&L, all in a streamlined, customized straight-through-processing workflow. It is a premium offering and is developed out of London and New York offices.

It is an exciting and challenging time to join our London team, as it has just been given ownership of a new initiative, initially focusing on the Foreign Exchange product. We will be building brand-new functionality and streamlining our current, limited offering. Therefore, you will be able to contribute substantially to the product early on, as fresh and innovative ideas will be vital at this stage. Additionally, you will need to take on responsibility right away and be confident in every aspect of the development life cycle.

Our strategic goal is to support client portfolio sizes in the thousands; performance, scalability and reliability of the system is of paramount importance. Moreover, the premium nature of this product makes quality an important aspect.

You will be mainly coding in C++ for building powerful services and JavaScript to provide intuitive UIs. You will need to master the variety of development tools in use at Bloomberg and be prepared for a challenging learning curve. Good communication skills are essential for dealing with internal groups such as QA, Business and other R&D teams.

Skills required
