The Role:

Bloomberg Markets is looking for an Executive Editor to manage the day-to-day operations of a new team dedicated to obsessive coverage of financial markets (stocks, commodities, bonds, currencies, etc.). The ideal candidate has had over four years of experience managing a web-first news operation, as well as a deep understanding of the content matter. The role requires the ability to identify what market participants are talking about, what they should be talking about, and what the most important story at any given moment actually is. Experience working at multiple levels of the newsroom - from reporter to top editor - is a plus. The job requires strong management and coordination skills. The ideal candidate must also love charts.

Responsibilities:

• Execute plan laid out by the Managing Editor across teams
• Maintain publishing schedules and calendar
• Communicate with video, photo, and visual data teams on editorial efforts
• Establish and iterate on newsroom workflows, team communication
• Cultivate and maintain collaborations with numerous Bloomberg teams
