The R&D Bloomberg Law Integrated Solutions team is seeking a self-motivated senior software developer/architect with an interest in designing solutions for complex data problems and implementing scalable architectures to support the legal research platform. In this senior role, you will work with cross-application teams to identify cross-cutting problems and develop robust solutions toward enhancing the product and building scalable applications. The candidate must exhibit excellent problem-solving, architectural and programming skills with passion for solving large-scale data problems, quickly learning emerging technologies. The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to deliver large projects independently, while positively collaborating with different teams.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of strong programming experience in Java or related OO languages
  • Strong experience with Distributed system architectures, SOA and database technologies (SQL & NoSQL)
  • Experience in big-data analytics technology stack (Hadoop/Spark)
  • Proficiency in semantic web technologies (RDF/OWL/SPARQL) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and development tools (Jira/Jenkins/Git)
