Our Financial Product Analytics and Sales summer internship is a ten week programme, offering you the opportunity to work across our Analytics and Sales departments.

The legendary Bloomberg Analytics Help Desk is an integral part of our offering. Our clients have come to rely on the knowledge, expertise, and exceptional service that our Analytics Representatives provide as they walk clients through new functionality and teach them how various enhancements can help in their day-to-day work. Analytics representatives interact with clients every day, taking their questions in real-time chats, via phone calls, and by teaching live client seminars.

After 12 - 18 months, on the full time programme most Analytics Representatives progress into roles in Sales where they are responsible for maintaining current client relationships and winning new business. Our Sales team demonstrates how Bloomberg solutions will help our clients make the best investment/trading/business decisions, by making their day to day business smoother and more profitable.

What's the role?

Upon joining our internship, you will receive one week of classroom based financial product training, aiming to give you an insight into the global financial markets and our market leading Bloomberg solutions. The internship is designed to provide exposure to our business areas, expand your knowledge of the financial markets and introduce you to our analytical solutions. You'll work hands-on with other interns to complete various Analytics and Sales projects and will interact directly with clients, adding value by taking part in sales campaigns, promoting product features and prospecting for new business. Hands-on individual and group projects will provide insight into the full-time career path in Analytics and Sales.

To round out your experience, you will have the opportunity to attend lunch and learn sessions focusing on our diversified group; gain exposure to Bloomberg leaders at a variety of networking events as well as taking part in a variety of volunteering activities with interns from other departments.

Throughout the internship, you will be supported by your line manager, buddy and your recruiter to ensure you receive regular feedback on your work and help navigating the company.

This internship is geared towards individuals who have a strong interest in the financial markets and in sales. As this is a pipeline programme for full time hires, we are targeting penultimate year students graduating in 2017.

Requirements

• Business fluency in English plus an additional European language (ideally one of the following: German, French, Spanish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, Dutch, Russian, Polish or Turkish)
• Passion for the financial markets
• Enthusiasm for client service and sales
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent written, analytical and communication skills
• Available to work between 27 June 2016 to 2 September 2016
