The Role

Bloomberg Government is a web-based information product that reports on, analyzes and quantifies the impact of government actions on business and industry. Bloomberg is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Associate to join the Professional Services Team. The Professional Services Sales Associate will be responsible for the following:

  • Call prospective customers, an average of two hours cold calling a day
  • Attend local networking events, targeting at least 3-5 weekly
  • Build prospect lists using both internal and external sources
  • Attend and participate in customer meetings, serving as a backup for trainings and client questions
  • Arrange periodic customer visits and provide enhanced training to ensure usage
  • Conduct e-mail campaigns using team lead approved scripts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Government market is a must (either selling within it, or working in it)
  • Knowledge of Capitol Hill and the Legislative process
  • Contracts experience, either Federal or Commercial
  • Strong consultative sales skills
  • Knowledge of the government, marketplace and sales acquisitions process
  • An entrepreneurial mind set and outgoing nature
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate value proposition to leaders in the public and private sectors
