Bloomberg Mobile brings the analytical power and information of the Bloomberg Terminal to iPads, iPhones, Androids and Blackberries. From News, Instant Messaging, charting and analytics to Video, TV and Radio our Apps are full of a diverse set of functionality designed to keep financial professionals informed.

The Bloomberg Professional Mobile team is a group of about 20 developers working from the London office who write the professional 'Bloomberg Anywhere' apps for iOS, Android and Blackberry.

We are looking for a web developer familiar with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript technologies to help us move beyond our existing mobile support on to many other mobile platforms. Applicants must have experience writing cross platform web sites and be familiar with writing mobile webkit and mobile internet explorer web sites.

Must have experience with the following technologies on mobile platforms:

  • Javascript
  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • AJAX

Nice to have:

  • Phone Gap experience
  • Some Native iOS and/or Android development experience
  • Subversion and or GIT experience
  • Knowledge or experience setting up test, validation and deployment frameworks/mechanisms e.g. rhino unit, google closure compiler/linter or any other framework would be a bonus.

This will be a 3-6 month contract role
