The Role

The Transactional Law Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of all data aspects of the products created for transactional practitioners on Bloomberglaw.com. Responsibilities will include managing vendor data processing teams, enhancing data processes and workflows, contributing to and supporting the integration of new ideas and functionality, developing spreadsheets and databases, drafting reports and presentations, and performing other ad hoc research/ analytical projects as necessary. We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic and tech savvy individual, who has both knowledge of transactional legal content (EDGAR filings, legal agreements, etc.) and a strong proficiency with respect to data processing and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree required
  • Minimum 1+ year experience working in the legal field
  • Significant prior experience working with EDGAR filings
  • Familiarity with legal contracts and/or M&A transactions preferred
  • Ability to work quickly and independently with a high degree of accuracy
  • Keen attention to detail is mandatory
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Excel
  • Experience with [web based] content management systems a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL or other database formats a plus
  • Effective communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
  • Some travel required
