What's The Role?

We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join the Legal & Compliance team on a temporary basis for a period of approximately 4 months. You’ll be part of Bloomberg’s Sanctions Compliance team, working closely with members across the Compliance Department.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Conduct due diligence on potential matches to sanctioned individuals or entities
  • Perform reviews of sanctions related alerts and conduct outreach to appropriate stakeholders if required
  • Maintain adequate and organized evidence supporting review and investigation outcomes
  • Escalate true sanctions matches to the Sanctions Compliance team for guidance and support
  • Assist with other sanctions related initiatives as needed

You’ll need to have:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience conducting due diligence related to Sanctions, Negative News and/or Politically Exposed Person (PEP) concerns
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. Sanctions or Anti-Money Laundering principles
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated track record of taking ownership of projects and leading initiatives to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

We’d love to see:

  • Proficiency with Lexis Nexis versions 4 or 5.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working in the in-house legal department of a financial technology company
  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Russian language skills a strong plus, but not required
