As a senior member of the Corporate Communications team, the Global Head of Internal Communications will be responsible for the creation, coordination and delivery of all internal communications to more than 21,000 employees in 192 locations globally. The Head of Internal Communications will work closely with the company’s senior business leaders to develop creative, dynamic and comprehensive strategic plans to tell the company’s story to our global team, promote our unique corporate culture and support open communication within and between teams. The Head of Internal Communications will also oversee all of the company’s internal platforms, including its intranet, wide array of employee newsletters, multimedia team and internal production capabilities.

You should be passionate about developing and implementing creative solutions to solve challenging problems – with a proven track record of doing so. A self-starter, hard worker and effective manager, you must be a talented strategic thinker and also willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

We’ll Trust You To:

  • Help the company articulate to its employees what makes Bloomberg special – while helping to build and drive connectivity across the company’s diverse employee base and global geographic presence.
  • Develop and execute effective communication plans for the company’s global employees.
  • Work with the Corporate Communications team to build the internal “brand” of key senior executives.
  • Manage a dedicated team of internal communications professionals – including content specialists, platform managers, editors and production agencies -- to develop and disseminate world-class content.
  • Develop clear metrics to monitor and measure the success of internal communications strategies. Help ensure that employees in all of our global locations are informed, aligned and connected with our companywide vision. Provide central resources that can be locally tailored to reinforce core messages and company news.
  • Lead internal response on major business issues, engage appropriate teams and safeguard the corporate reputation.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • At least 15 years of relevant Internal Communications experience and at least 5 years of managerial experience; a successful track record of inspiring and leading a communications team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project planning skills with a proven track record of interfacing with senior stake holders in a complex environment
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in in Communications or related field) or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred

We’d love to see:

  • Prior experience in the financial and/or technology sectors
  • Knowledge of how organizational change works, and experience taking companies through change
  • Experience working with disciplines that help define a company’s culture – including HR, facilities, marketing, philanthropy and D&I functions
