Bloomberg software engineers develop impactful solutions to complex, real-world problems. This is no different for our interns. Engineering interns take ownership of their projects under the mentorship of full-time software engineers. We are looking for top computer science students who are passionate about technology and eager to learn in our high energy, fast-paced environment.

Bloomberg Engineering Launch is a program for first-year undergraduate students who are exploring a career as a software engineer. As a Bloomberg Engineering Launch intern, you’ll learn about the Bloomberg Terminal and gain a deeper understanding of technology and finance. You’ll be immersed in a team of full-time engineers on an exciting real-world project, while also having the opportunity to collaborate with your Bloomberg Engineering Launch cohort on a group project.

In addition to your technical projects, you will also be exposed to career exploration and professional development opportunities. You will be immersed in Bloomberg’s culture and have the chance to participate in puzzle challenges, attend tech talks and wellness events, and network with other interns.

We’ll trust you to:

• Take ownership of projects under the guidance of your mentor
• Be a collaborative member of your team
• Have a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Be an excellent problem solver

You’ll need to:

• Have programming experience in C, C++, Java or Python
• Have completed your first year of college/university by summer 2023
• Be working toward a BA or BS in Computer Science
