The Role:

We are looking for a new member to join our team to support the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) Secretariat.
GFANZ is a coalition of leading financial institutions committed to accelerating the decarbonisation of the global economy in line with governments’ commitments under the Paris Agreement. GFANZ was established in 2021 as a forum for addressing sector-wide challenges associated with the net-zero transition, helping to ensure high levels of ambition are met with credible action. Members – numbering over 550 financial institutions from 50 jurisdictions – have committed to the goal of net zero by 2050, in line with science-based pathways to limit warming to 1.5 degrees C. GFANZ has a multifaceted programme aimed at mainstreaming net zero transition planning and mobilizing capital to emerging markets and developing economies. This requires outstanding external stakeholder engagement across multiple workstreams and regions. In this role, the presentation and publication designer will work closely with our leadership team and project managers to create clear and engaging presentations and publications.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Understand the content of presentations and utilize best design practices to create layouts for optimal viewing
  • Consult on the visual story and flow of content to create engaging presentations
  • Create data visualizations that are clear and easy to understand
  • Re-design PowerPoints within GFANZ brand guidelines
  • Design custom graphics, from icons to isometric illustrations
  • Assist on projects, including high-visibility conferences and key publications
  • Communicate with secretariat leadership to interpret design feedback
  • Support the leadership team in developing impactful presentations to support regular governing forums and workstream meetings.

You’ll need to have:

  • 1 to 2 years of graphic design experience*
  • *Please note we use years of experience as a guide, but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.

  • Excellent written and verbal comprehension
  • Excellent knowledge of presentation programs such as PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle a wide range of tasks and projects at the same time
  • Upholding brand guidelines and possessing a strong knowledge of design standards
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all brand presentation is of a high standard
  • Having a good eye for design and aesthetics to create well-thought-out presentations
