Bloomberg runs on data, and in the Data team we're responsible for acquiring it and providing it to our clients. We collect, analyze, process and publish the data which is the backbone of our iconic Bloomberg Terminal- the facts and figures which ultimately move the financial markets. We apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies and we implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes- and all this while delivering advanced insights to our clients.      

What's the role? 

The Data Analytics Team is looking for a highly motivated and driven Team Leader, who has a passion for customer service to oversee the group’s operations. You will work in a high energy team that is responsible for providing customers with accurate and timely answers to their data related questions. You will be responsible for implementing different strategies across technology implementation, workflow designs, mentorship and coaching for entry level and senior customer service analysts. 

We’ll trust you to: 

 -Communicate with all data teams as well as analytics teams globally to manage client relations both internal and external 
 -Implement and build strategic advanced specialists pipelines in Data 
 -Take part in on-going training to build and improve customer service knowledge in Data 

  • Develop newly hired employees and prepare them for advanced roles in Data 
  • Support senior analysts in their continued development as domain experts within the team 
  •   -Create a culture devoted to customer service and influencing data teams to adopt that culture 
  • Leverage technology and innovative solutions to improve customer service 
  •   -Build strategy and execute on plans to drive product forward 
  • Enhance customer operational performance by providing help desk resources and technical advice 

You’ll need to have: 

  • Bachelor's degree or degree-equivalent qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of direct or indirect leadership experience (for example leading projects, mentoring people, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers or financial institutions
  • Demonstrated data experience, for example management, governance or quality assurance of data
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service role managing the team's operations
  • Demonstrable experience with project management skills to coordinate, guide and advice on technical workflow advancements with partners  
  •  - Vision to align your team's goals around providing superior service to Business and other internal/external clients, and the ability to execute a business and people strategy which delivers on that vision

  • Strong understanding of the wide-ranging impact of financial data
  • Well-honed listening skills, allowing you to draw understanding of your team and clients’ needs
  • Proven ability to establish strong credibility and build influential relationships with multiple internal and external clients and stakeholders
  • Creative and flexible approach to problem solving, aided by strong data analysis skills
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
  • An experimental posture, to challenge past assumptions and ways of thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, allowing you to accurately communicate business needs and requirements and to advocate on behalf of your team
