At Bloomberg Finance we are committed to providing world-class support to our business partners by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership.

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Finance & Administration function. The CFO team provides critical financial support to the business. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to deliver a unique blend of financial and operational analysis, financial modeling, reporting and senior management support for a fast-paced and cutting-edge technology based financial services business.

We'll trust you to:

 

  • Establish relationships with key business contacts and working closely with stakeholders to define financial and operational reporting needs
  • Provide operational support to business by providing insight, feedback and recommendations on various business workflows and resource models
  • Own the monthly close process for areas of responsibility, including analysis of key expenses and preparation or review of journal entries
  • Analysis and reporting on Revenue, Margin and Costs in the Contracts and Exchanges business, to include pricing reviews and pricing controls
  • Perform monthly reporting and analysis of resources for various functions and departments; Utilizing internal systems to ensure resources are appropriate and authorized by management
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for finance leadership and key business customers (e.g., variance analysis and key operational metrics)
  • Working with business units to prepare clear, metric-based operating budgets and financial projections for areas of responsibility
  • Develop and maintaining models and analyses to aid in the validation of financial forecasts and for special projects
  • Participate in the development of presentations for Senior Management, both on a regularly scheduled and ad hoc basis
  • Assist in the design and development of key financial processes and internal controls
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of processes, streamline collection, use, and presentation of data
  • Support periodic audits of internal controls

You'll need to have:

  • 4+ years’ experience in financial analysis 
  • BA/BS in Finance or a related field 
  • Advanced financial modeling and data visualization skills 
  • Advanced excel, VBA including macros and desktop/process automation skills 
  • Demonstrated experience driving finance transformation within established, fast-paced environments 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills  
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes of issues and projects  
  • Experience carrying out complex work with autonomy and make decisions within scope of responsibilities   
  • Team player who can work across multiple departments and levels within the company  

We'd love to see:

  • A collaborative approach to working with teams in other parts of the organization, to develop mutually beneficial solutions
  • The ability to show initiative to identify improvements to processes and reports and question the status quo
  • Experience with Microsoft products, particularly Excel, and Enterprise software applications e.g., SAP, Analysis for Office, EPM

Salary Range: 64 - 77 USD Hourly

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
