Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning digital, magazine, radio, television, and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations from Originals to New Economy.
 
Bloomberg Originals seeks a showrunner producer to join our Doc Originals team to co-develop, lead production, and help guide producers on thought-provoking and engaging long-form TV and film documentaries. We’re looking for a strong storyteller — someone who has a passion for journalism and a natural curiosity about business, politics, technology, culture, and lifestyle – and an experienced leader who will help shepherd the next generation of documentary creatives.

WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:

  •  Lead producer of 30 - 90 minute long multi-episode documentaries on our O&O, OTT platforms, as well as external platforms
  •  Managing producers across assigned feature and serialized content
  •  Managing external vendors across feature and serialized content
  •  Develop and maintain good relationships with on-screen talent, both internal and external
  •  Maintain Bloomberg editorial standards throughout production
  •  Actively and consistently pitching and scripting content, while assisting and guiding other producers on the processHIRE
  •  Seek innovative and creative ways to tell a story with visual appeal
  •  Identify trending topics and understand the elements that make video successful on various platforms.
  •  Maintain Bloomberg’s voice in all content, by providing feedback, editorial suggestions, and copy editing as required
  •  Work under pressure in a fast-paced news environment, while juggling multiple active projects
  •  Have the ability to oversee concurrent projects with multiple work-streams and large internal and external teams.
  •  Have strong interpersonal skills, able to foster a positive team spirit, and capable of resolving conflicts, both internal and external.
  •  Help shape and continuously improve Bloomberg’s production process.

YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

  •  6+ years of experience as a showrunner in Film and/or TV production
  •  Strong writing and reporting skills, especially for video
  •  Leadership skills or willingness to develop
  •  Editorial/newsroom experience a plus
  •  Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel
  •  Exceptional attention to detail
  •  Team player, great communicator, and experience juggling multiple projects

Salary Range: 120,000 - 150,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
