The Role

Bloomberg News seeks a reporter in its Brasilia office to cover Brazilian politics and economics. In-depth knowledge of the region is essential, as is fluent English and Portuguese. A minimum of three years covering the beat at a major newspaper or wire service is preferred. The reporter will focus on the Brazilian government's executive, legislative and judicial branches. The successful applicant will produce breaking news stories under real-time deadline pressure, contribute regular enterprise pieces, and write stories that are clear and comprehensive.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience working in a real-time news environment
  • Minimum of three years of experience reporting business news
  • Knowledge of the economy, markets, business
