The Role:

Bloomberg News seeks a reporter with proven experience in investigative work or project journalism, based in London to join its Business News team to build the global projects and investigations team.

The reporter will produce in-depth enterprise stories ranging in style from narrative to explanatory to investigative working alone or with reporters across beats and national borders. The reporter will be a strong idea generator, systematically proposing subjects that are timely, ground-breaking, require a multi-dimensional project approach and resonate with readers worldwide, and especially in the U.S.

The successful applicant is an accomplished reporter with a talent for digging into complex subjects, mining regulatory or legal filings, persuading inside sources to tell the whole story and uncovering surprising information that will change how people think and act. The reporter will also be expected on some projects to serve as a mentor and coach when working with beat reporters and should be comfortable working within a team environment.

Requirements:

  • High-level journalism experience is essential
  • Strong narrative writing skills and attention to detail
  • Proven experience of reporting on financial and markets news is essential
