The Role:

Bloomberg News is looking for a reporter to join their Renewable Energy Industries Team, covering the clean energy industry,carbon issues and environmental policy developments in Germany.
The applicant should be a versatile self-starter, able to juggle breaking news and spot stories under deadline pressure with more comprehensive in-depth enterprise
pieces.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a hunger for stories about the latest deals and policy developments as well as a strong interest the fields of carbon policy and renewable energy. The person should have the personality to develop sources that lead to exclusive stories, a thorough understanding of how policy is determined, and a commitment to speed and accuracy.
Candidates should have fluency in German and proficiency in writing and speaking English. The position is based in Bloomberg¿s Berlin office.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Demonstrable passion for clean energy and carbon markets
• Experience reporting for a news organisation or trade journal
• Proficiency in both English and German is essential
• Excellent networking abilities, ability to understand complex material
• Knowledge of the economy, markets, business
