Bloomberg Markets, the award-winning global financial magazine published by
Bloomberg LP, is looking for a experienced editor to be based in Europe,
preferably in our London office. The monthly magazine goes to all Bloomberg
terminal subscribers around the world and is sold on newsstands and in
bookstores across the U.S. and in selected business cities in Europe and Asia.
The successful candidate will join a team of editors that work closely with magazine staff writers and with reporters from Bloomberg News, a global business news organisation, in developing and editing in-depth features on finance, business, economics, and politics. The editor will be involved in all aspects of producing a magazine story, including photos, charts and layouts. Successful applicants should have substantial experience of business journalism, including previous experience of editing.
- Bachelor's degree or a relevant journalism qualification is desirable
- Solid editing experience at a broad-based business magazine or on the business
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and follow house style is necessary
- Knowledge of Wall Street and financial markets is a plus, as is experience editing non-U.S. stories
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential with an ability to speak a second European language desirable
