Financial market participants must quickly consume and understand the vast amounts of information created every day. Bloomberg's goal is to develop new visual applications to make this data actionable and facilitate idea generation for clients of the Bloomberg Professional Terminal.
The successful applicant will join the Charts and Graphics Business to lead the effort to design and build new visual solutions. The team is responsible for development of all graphical solutions on the Bloomberg Professional Terminal. These visual applications are mission critical tools that are hit millions of times each day. You will have a leadership role in product design and the strategic direction of the Bloomberg Professional Terminal.
As the Data Visualization Business Manager, you will be continually challenged to design creative solutions that help users make decisions. The design and development process will require you to collaborate with business managers, engineers and clients throughout the planning and development lifecycle. We are looking for a detailed, business savvy, proactive person to work extensively with displaying crucial data that can strongly influence important decisions for us and our clients moving forward.
The successful applicant must have strong creative and technology experience as well as a clear vision of how to help Bloomberg become a leader in data visualization. In addition to a thorough grounding in graphic design and the aesthetics of data visualization, the DV Business Manager must have the necessary mathematical / statistical skill set to identify, manage, and build data visualizations from the huge data sets available to Bloomberg.
