Bloomberg L.P., a leading worldwide provider of electronic information, is looking for qualified people to join the data division of the law product group. Legal Data Quality Assurance Analysts primarily audit content posted to a legal research database to ensure adherence to quality measures. They should understand applications and processes regarding assigned data sets spanning a variety of legal product areas.
Responsibilities will include developing process efficiencies as well as creating and implementing quality management procedures. Analysts are also expected to assist maintaining a legal research database, performing analysis on current and historical practice area content sources, and troubleshooting data related problems arising from tagging/DTD, latency issues and formatting errors.

Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in Management Information Systems or Computer Science.
  • 3+ years experience in data analysis and project management.
  • Thorough knowledge of data coding and conversion.
  • Familiarity with XML-based publishing environments.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Access.
  • Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills.
  • An understanding of Primary and Secondary legal materials and how they are used in legal practice is helpful.
