The Role

Bloomberg Electronic Trading Support in Tokyo office is seeking an individual to provide technical support for its products that utilize the FIX (Financial Information Exchange) protocol. He or she will be responsible for staffing coverage accountability for regional markets and will provide escalated technical guidance and support to our clients (internally & externally) through exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will understand how to work within a team environment and independently, lead by example and take pride in the team's day-to-day workflow. This person should be creative and innovative, know how to remain calm under pressure and have the ability multi-task.
Must have knowledge of FIX (Financial Information Exchange) protocol and basic understanding of financial markets. Basic knowledge of UNIX scripts, troubleshooting LAN/WAN, Cisco routers, TCP/IP connectivity is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a customer support environment
  • Minimum 1 years experience with FIX protocol and financial markets
  • Excellent customer service and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with clients, sales, programming and third party vendors
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is required
  • High proficiency in Japanese and English is must
