The Role

SSEOMS is a leading equity execution and order management system used by firms in the US, Europe and Asia. A full Multi-Asset front to back OMS, the product provides rich order capture, execution and distribution capabilities. This is an exciting time for the product as we are currently implementing a major upgrade of key workflow facets in preparation for taking the product to the next level globally. We are poised to become the dominant player in the market place.

A core initiative to be implemented is the advancement of both listed and OTC derivatives in SSEOMS. SSEOMS currently offers basic functionality for STP in listed equity options. The new functionality should seamlessly combine existing work flows with advanced analytics and trading capabilities across both listed and OTC derivatives.

Part of a Global product management team based in New York, we seek a product manager that will own the Derivatives product silo globally. This person will ensure that the product vertical exceeds the expectations of our existing users, providing the tools to efficiently manage their business while extending the product offering to new market participants. The product manager will deliver the product and have an entrepreneurial outlook for growing the overall OMS product in areas related to this work-flow. The ideal candidate would be a product manager in the Derivatives space at a competing vendor or Broker Dealer.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management of product delivery (to include providing business requirement documentation).
  • Liaising with technical project management team.
  • Prospect/Client liaison to gather requirements for inclusion in the platform.
  • Internal and External product marketing.
  • Internal training and documentation of functionality
  • Provide business rationale for the product going forward.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in product management or development
  • A minimum of 5 years experience working with derivatives
  • Experience with both listed and OTC derivatives
  • Working knowledge of derivative life-cycling and analytical pricing & risk models as the pertain to the sell-side trading community
  • Proven track record working and/or developing derivatives systems for Tier 1 Banks
  • Technical programming experience a plus
  • Ability to market ideas both externally and internally.
  • Ability to project manage globally located resources.
