The role

Global Software Quality Assurance is seeking a talented and motivated Automation Engineer to work alongside the mobile development team in the expansion of support for our automated testing platform for mobile devices.

You will need proven experience with scripted automation test tools, scripting languages and building of reusable code (this is not a point-and-click automation role).
The successful candidate will be able to develop expert knowledge in Bloomberg¿s mobile products to ensure they meet requirement specifications and are within quality criteria and standards. The person in this role will also be expected to communicate effectively with peers, product managers, software developers and technical specialists on product issues.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performing complex functional, integration, regression and performance tests
• Analyzing requirements and applications to identify acceptance criteria, testing cases and test scenarios
• Establishing best practices and procedures for defining User Acceptance Tests and ensuring the delivery of high quality products
• Working with stakeholders to determine User Acceptance Tests and System Tests
• Working closely with multiple development teams to ensure quality testing practices are incorporated across the development cycle
• Writing test documentation such as test cases, scenarios, and creating test data
• Proactively initiating, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships with team members
• Planning and implementing automated testing. Developing Automated Regression Test Suite using test tools
• Providing technical leadership
• Requiring minimal supervision

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Previous experience with Testdroid, eggPlant and SenseTalk language a plus
• Experience working with Test Automation software
• Strong in observation and analysis of issues and the ability to communicate those issues clearly and precisely
• Demonstrable experience of testing on mobile devices, from unit to integration to front-end
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies a plus
• Experienced in structuring QA test repository and automation suites based on application's functional and component structure
