The Role
Bloomberg News seeks an India-based editor for its Asia Energy team to guide coverage of the markets, companies, politics and policies of oil, gas, coal, power and renewables in one of the world's fastest-growing consumers. The successful candidate must be able to guide reporters on story generation, sourcing, interviewing, writing and accuracy. The editor will also need strong writing skills to work alongside reporters and deliver authoritative stories under real-time deadline pressure.
The role is focused on breaking news that moves markets and enterprise pieces that highlight energy's intersection with government, politics and economics. The role requires a proactive journalist who can collaborate across teams and bureaus and work quickly and thoughtfully.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- At least two years of experience editing and reporting at news agencies, newspapers or relevant industry journals
- Knowledge of the economy, financial markets and business is essential
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Fluency in English is a must
