The Role:

The job of a TV Producer/Business Analyst at Bloomberg TV combines some unique skills -- financial analyst, TV producer, investigative reporter and even executive assistant. The principal job is assisting Bloomberg Media's editor-at-large in research uncovering the hidden truths in the financial markets -- particularly among equities. The end result is investigative journalism based on financial analysis.

Basic financial modeling skills in Excel are a big part of the job. So is producing daily television hits, gathering visual elements and writing headlines. The editor-at-large was a hedge fund portfolio manager, so the job is perfect for a TV producer who wants a better understanding of finance, or a financial person with a jones for TV.

This requires careful attention to detail, urgency, creativity, ethical fortitude and enthusiasm. The resources are diverse, the Bloomberg Terminal an awesome tool and the opportunity is massive.
