The Role

From the world's largest mobile-phone carrier to rising media moguls such as China Media Capital's Li Ruigang, the country's telecommunications, media and entertainment industries are among the biggest and most dynamic sectors in the world's second-largest economy. The ideal candidate will be able to report on broader stories that explain and break news on the trends and strategies that impact the industries both in the region and around the globe. The person will ideally have sources across the sector and prioritize making new contacts in the telecoms and media space. Working well across teams and departments to develop quality data and graphics alongside prose is also a requisite for the role.

The Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in Mandarin is required
  • Minimum of three years of business and financial journalism
  • Experience working in a real-time news environment
