Our Bloomberg Legislative Data team is looking for talented individuals to join us and help continue to deliver specialized legislative information to our clients.
The Legislative Data Analyst will monitor developments on the U.S. House and Senate floors and in committee markups, providing timely updates on amendment texts and vote results, as well as supplying context to help users understand the actions.
To be successful you will have an in-depth understanding of both the legislative process and the rules and procedures of the House and Senate.

The Legislative Data Analyst will also work closely with the BGov Editorial team, providing support as needed.
What you'll need:
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in or with Congress; ideal candidate will have legislative, lobbying or reporting experience
- Ability to work quickly and independently with a high degree of accuracy
- Detailed knowledge of U.S. legislative process and familiarity with legislative language
- In-depth understanding of rules and procedures of the U.S. House and Senate
- Strong communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
We'd love to see:
- Experience with web-based content management systems
- Knowledge of SQL or other database formats
