You're a creative communicator who works independently at a senior level to drive strategic communications plans for Bloomberg's innovators and technologists. You're the kind of person who knows how to develop and maintain close working relationships with senior stakeholders.
You are a habitual collaborator and working with peers in marketing and HR to achieve business goals is your idea of a very good day. You like to ideate, but your real expertise is getting stuff done. You have more than a basic familiarity with the global financial marketplace. Better if you have notions about its underlying tech. Oh, and familiarity with media, social media, channels and influencers active in and around technology is essential. It'd also help if you can find your way around a basic CMS like Wordpress and whatnot.
You will be responsible for enhancing the reputation of Bloomberg by telling our story as an innovator, a great place to work and an essential part of society both as a financial and media firm and as an engine that drives impact through Bloomberg Philanthropies. Through our narrative as a technology-led firm, you will talk, tweet, video, promote and tout our people and core product: the Bloomberg Professional service ("the Terminal"), the most powerful and innovative platform for financial real-time data, news, and analytics. You will also promote and protect Bloomberg's image as a provider of market-leading financial information and technology solutions through strategic and effective external communications. Overseeing Bloomberg Beta you will also be able to speak to our efforts in searching for or building startups that really change things. You'll collaborate with our global team on communicating with and through Bloomberg's community of technical employees.
