You’re someone with a real passion for understanding the connection between human behavior and broader societal and technological trends, and possess the ability to collaborate with our team of clean energy specialists to generate new insights into the future of energy. You love taking on complex questions, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and are excited at the prospect of working alongside colleagues with a diverse range of skills and backgrounds.

What's the role?

  • You will lead a project to assess how behavioral considerations can shape the future of the energy industry through the uptake of rooftop solar, electric vehicles and other new energy propositions.
  • Together with other team members, you will identify topics of interest to clients, conduct research, and publish written reports on the findings.

We will trust you to:

  • Bring your behavioral economics and consumer psychology perspective to our clients.
  • Work together to develop a new vision for the future relationship between utilities and their customers.
  • Write and publish reports in English about consumer trends in clean energy, covering major developments, and market player strategies.
  • Build new metrics for tracking the evolution of consumer-facing energy products and services.
  • Propose innovative ways to estimate future consumer adoption of energy technologies and services.
  • Engage with clients and industry figures daily via email, phone and in person.

  • Act as a self-starter, have a high work-rate and have the ability to work on parallel tasks with attention to detail.
  • Think critically and cut through the noise of data, extract and analyze key patterns, and to apply skepticism to the claims of industry participants and ask insightful questions.
  • Form creative opinions, graphically present data and write clearly and concisely.

We would love you to have:

  • Interest in and enthusiasm for clean and disruptive energy technologies, especially relating to consumer-focused applications.
  • A degree in economics, psychology or a related field with a specific focus or modules on behavioral economics or consumer psychology.
