Our colleagues depend on us to advise on a variety of matters in connection with Bloomberg's electronic trading and related services for securities and derivatives markets globally. We are influential in the development of new products and services as we regularly provide legal advice about the design and implementation process. On any given day you could be asked to analyze, advise on compliance with, or advocate for changes in U.S. and international securities and derivatives laws and regulations affecting Bloomberg's businesses, advise on compliance with investment advice restrictions, or draft and negotiate agreements with key partners.

We'll Trust you to:

• Provide legal support for business, operations and marketing and sales forces.
• Draft and negotiate agreements
• Bring a willingness to learn securities and derivatives regulation and related practice areas to complement a highly-functioning legal team with a broad portfolio of regulatory issues facing electronic trading, technology and information services providers

You should have:

• At least 2-5 years' experience as a lawyer in a major law firm
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills and the ability to thrive in an open office environment
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a diverse team environment

We'd love to see:

• Familiarity with securities and/or derivatives regulations
• Knowledge of legal issues pertaining to securities or futures exchanges, investment advisers, broker-dealers, public and private securities offerings and/or regulated businesses in the financial services sector
