Bloomberg Human Resource Engineering team is a group of enthusiastic technologists who builds creative solutions providing critical supports to over 19,000 Bloomberg employees worldwide. Our team develops and enhances applications to cover business areas such as recruiting, employee movement, talent development, compensation, etc. We are also revamping our flagship philanthropy product to provide a richer employee experience with our philanthropy programs across the globe. You'll need to have:

• 3+ years of experience in object oriented language (C# preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in Javascript
• 2+ years of experience in SQL Database (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, systems, and applications programming
• Good communication skills

• Experience shipping high-profile user-facing products, working with large code bases, and engineering features for security, scalability, and high availability

Project opportunities for this position:

• Application Tracking System: We have built our own application tracking system (ATS) from scratch and tailored it to our internal employee's needs. Our ATS supports customized workflows for over 20 business areas, and over 100 recruiters and hiring managers work on the system daily to move through hundreds of thousands of applications every year. Technology stack for this project is Javascript front end, C# middleware, and SQL Server database in the backend.

• Bloomberg Philanthropy Portal: We have built our own philanthropy portal with a rich set of functionalities for our employees across the globe. This Philanthropy portal currently allows employees in United States to donate for various charities in one click. We have built in custom workflows for approvals, and all the payment processing is automated. We are planning to expand this product suite to support similar workflows for employees across the globe. Technology stack for this project is Javascript front end, C# and python middleware, and SQL Server database in the backend.
