The Role:

Bloomberg Media has an exciting new role for an experienced Account Director to join the team and focus on key markets across the Middle East and Africa. The individual will be responsible for managing a territory and all aspects of building strategic partnerships with governments and tier one corporate entities and high-level government stakeholders utilising our global platforms across TV, digital, print, mobile and events. The position is based in Dubai and will include working closely with our counterparts around the world. This role requires a self-starter to identify opportunities and target them strategically.

The Middle East and Africa team continues to expand following strong double digit growth year on year over the past four years while benefiting from significant investment into the region including the launch of regional websites for the Middle East and Africa as well as a daily global TV show, live from Dubai - cementing the city as one of Bloomberg Media's five global hubs. Bloomberg have also recently launched the first live streaming news channel on Twitter, TicToc which now sits amongst the portfolio of products that are available to our clients in the region.

The ideal candidate will be a go-getter, who thrives on working in a fast paced environment and possesses a can-do attitude with a proven track record for growing advertising revenue through strategic partnerships. The candidate should be able to demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking in delivering integrated programs against a set of client led objectives and how these manifest themselves through media properties. Candidates must be able to show how they use research, analysis and creativity to build sales cases and audience justifications.

You’ll need to have:

  • Proven ad sales experience at a media company
  • A self-motivated, detail-oriented and analytical approach
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • A clear understanding of advertising across platforms
  • Existing knowledge of the Middle East & Africa markets and clients is beneficial
