The Opportunity:

Bloomberg is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic project coordinator intern to join our Bloomberg NEF team for 6 months based in London. The internship will allow the successful candidate to work on BNEF’s New Energy Pioneers (NEP) programme, which looks to identify innovative start-ups in clean energy technology (https://about.bnef.com/new-energy-pioneers/). The intern will also gain an insight into the analysis and marketing efforts within Bloomberg New Energy Finance and specifically the energy markets.

What's the role?

During the 6 month internship, the successful candidate will be working closely with the NEP Project Manager and BNEF’s Head of Strategy and collaborating with teams across regions globally.

We'll trust you to:

• Own and manage BNEF’s New Energy Pioneers programme application process, including initial outreach, application gathering, and closing process.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including BNEF leadership and analysts, as well as Pioneers applicants during the application review process
• Support social media outreach and related marketing activities
• Manage updates to the New Energy Pioneers website
• Develop an understanding and knowledge of the clean energy industry so that you can comment, develop analysis, and provide insight on how the NEP applicant trends reflect broader industry events.
• Carry out research into technologies that BNEF tracks in order to collect data and help support our research and insights

You'll need to have:

• BA or BSc degree and/or relevant work experience
• Knowledge of Excel, Wordpress and basic HTML
• Basic experience and understanding of social media channels
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills

We'd love to see:

• Clear interest in start-ups, business strategy, technology and the energy sector, renewable energy in particular
• Other languages an advantage, although not essential
