Bloomberg News is seeking a seasoned booking producer for its U.S. broadcast team in Washington, D.C., where we're on the hunt for top news makers and compelling guests as we ramp up for the 2020 election cycle. You will work with our assignment desk and Washington team to conceive and execute enterprising segments for TV, radio and digital platforms -- particularly our signature politics programs, Bloomberg: Balance of Power and Bloomberg: Sound On. You will produce, write and edit live and taped segments, and occasionally work in the field during major news events.
You will be able to interpret Washington through the Bloomberg lens, leveraging their knowledge of finance, economics and markets to target guests who can offer meaningful insights to clients. That means a solid understanding, experience and knowledge of financial and business news and a minimum of 3 years industry experience relevant to booking news guests. Candidates must thrive under deadline pressure and breaking news, and flexibility with hours is essential.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of recent and relevant booking experience required in financial news
- Track record of experience in news segment and field producing helpful
- Experience of working in a real-time news environment
- Previous financial services experience preferred
- Strong writing skills
- Flexibility with hours is essential.
