The Enterprise Products and Services (EPS) team is a new and growing area of Bloomberg. We build state-of-the-art software to support product implementation and client-facing tools that allow clients to manage their data distribution, users, applications and respective permissions. Our product has the potential to have a tremendous impact on the market. Our solutions offer cost effective, customizable and innovative alternatives to clients. We've fast become the second biggest player in our space and are continuing to grow rapidly in a well-established market.

Recently we’ve undertaken an exciting project - porting our client administration function from the Bloomberg Professional to the web and we have many enhancements we would like to make.  That's where you come in! We are looking for an experienced React Developer to join our team. As part of our team, you will be exposed to a variety of domains and technologies, learn continuously and contribute new ideas starting day one.

We'll trust you to:

• Build compelling user interfaces in JavaScript using tools like React, Redux and Styled-Components
• Contribute to design discussions for our REST API to support customer workflows via our UI application and data access via customer applications
• Work across multiple teams in Engineering
• Communicate and interact with product managers and end users

You'll need to have:

• 3+ years experience designing and building successful web applications using React
• Extensive experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS
• Deep understanding of Chrome, IE, Safari, Firefox, and their various idiosyncrasies, including browser performance and compatibility
• Ability to learn on the fly and the desire to share ideas and be a team player
• BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field

We'd love to see:

• Familiarity with Redux
• Experience or desire for full stack / server side development, preferably Python
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and communication with back end services
• Experience with Agile software development
• Familiarity with GIT source control, CI/CD (Jenkins, Chef, Terraform) and Google Analytics
• Experience with Test Driven Development
• Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostGres), Shell scripting, data structures, algorithms and optimizations
