Bloomberg LP is seeking a Workplace Space and Occupancy Planner to join the team in its New York headquarters. In this role, you will provide tactical and strategic space planning expertise in support and coordination all of the physical movements of Bloomberg’s populations. The position will be responsible for planning desk space scenarios, developing large scale site/campus stacking plans, updating internal space management systems for occupancy and expense tracking, and managing both day-to-day and project-based employee movements within Bloomberg’s offices.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Develop move plans with space assignments, sequencing of group-level relocations and occupancy plans
  • Coordinate complex move projects involving high occupant numbers achieving optimal density of space
  • Conduct space and occupancy audits to maintain accurate reporting information of seating charts, employee locations, space designations, and usage of space
  • Develop and maintain site-stacking plans
  • Review and validate monthly space and occupancy reporting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues
  • Oversee the work of vendors supporting desk space moves
  • Coordinate across multiple teams to achieve results
  • Communicate project details and changes to stakeholders
  • Track, report, and forecast volume of work

On any given day you’ll:

  • Interact with key senior leaders, business partners, and vendors
  • Adjust plans to accommodate change requests
  • Find creative solutions to common issues
  • Communicate updates to internal customers
  • Provide leadership to partners and vendors

You will need:

  • Ability to multitask and deal with changing priorities and/or requirements
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with IWMS/space management software
  • Proficiency in architectural and engineering drawings, concepts & design
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends as required supporting moves
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and related tools
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude

We’d love to see:

  • Experience working with Tririga
  • Project management expertise/certification
  • 3-5 years of work experience in facilities space and occupancy management
  • Degree in a related discipline (Corporate Real Estate & Facilities Management Planning/Coordination, Facilities, Project or Construction Management, etc.)
