Bloomberg News is looking for a reporter to cover the renewable energy beat in China. As the world’s top generator of solar and wind power and the leading manufacturer of clean energy tech, the successful candidate will be at the heart of Bloomberg's coverage of the energy transition. China's plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060 will force an overhaul of the world's leading industrial economy, a shift you'll need to track for readers on the Bloomberg terminal and beyond.

We'll trust you to:

  • Break news on stories that could move markets
  • Build sources with executives, policy makers and traders
  • Help develop ideas for enterprise stories
  • Build influential relationships across the newsroom

You'll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in journalism, finance or economics
  • Excellent writing skills and sharp news judgment
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • The ability to organize and prioritize coverage and be a team player
  • Knowledge of the energy industry would be an advantage
