You are a top-tier journalist with previous experience in Economics, Bonds, FX or other financial markets and keen to step up into a reporting role to help drive our economics coverage for Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney, you will be covering the central bank, economic indicators, reporting on themes such as climate change, inequality, labor market trends, the pandemic, trade frictions, housing and many other issues that shape the economic outlook.
This is an opportunity to shape coverage of these crucial and complex issues across Bloomberg's terminal, print, digital, radio, podcast and television platforms.
You'll need to have:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Financial journalism experience (not limited to Economics) with proven ability to shape coverage and work effectively with others to do so
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent reporting skills and experience of working in a real-time environment
- Proficiency in English
