How equality shows up in C-suites and economies is a mainstay of business journalism, and Bloomberg News is seeking a motivated and experienced London-based reporter to show how capitalism fails, and who ends up on the losing (and winning) end of business and policy moves in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The right candidate will have exceptional writing skills, an urgency for news and show readers how C-Suite, investment and policy moves exacerbate or improve inequality. In addition, they will work closely with ESG reporters and editors across regions and collaborate with a global editorial squad dedicated to covering equality.

The right person will be comfortable writing stories for terminal and digital readers, as well as social video, and be creative with presentation, including data-visualization and multi-media. The person will be able to move quickly between breaking news, quick-turn pieces on the news cycle and longer-form enterprise across platforms.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of five years of reporting experience
• Strong news judgement and a sense of urgency
• Knowledge of ESG, with a focus on social and governance issues
• A global perspective
• A willingness to work well within a team and others across the newsroom
• Multi-platform skills including broadcast, podcasting and events
