Paris Bureau Chief
Paris
Posted Oct 25, 2021 - Requisition No. 96830
Some of the biggest stories in the world happen in France, and as Paris bureau chief you'll be at the heart of that coverage.
You'll be leading the charge on the latest corporate news with the likes of Stellantis, Renault and LVMH; following all the developments in the banking sector at Societe Generale and Credit Agricole; and in the thick of it on economics and politics as we head into a crucial election year.
In short, if you like chasing big stories with a lot of variety and being right in the mix of the writing and editing, then this position is for you. You'll also be working closely with managers around the region to ensure that our French coverage is top notch and out front.
On top of that, Paris is one of our most visited and important bureaus worldwide, and we expect you to be ambassador for Bloomberg News -- both internally and externally.
We need you to be:
- A natural leader to steer the bureau out of the pandemic and through the return to office
- A total footballer, who understands how to use the resources at hand to get things done
- A skilled diplomat able to work with several teams and managers
- A natural ambassador for Bloomberg to companies, government ministries and economic institutions
- A strong writer and editor capable of adapting your style as needed
- Fluency in English and French
